Dr. Xiaodi Li is a drug delivery scientist specializing in lipid and nanoparticle formulation for targeted cancer therapy and stem cell therapeutics. As a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Kansas, she formulates lipid nanoparticles by microfluidic mixing, tuning flow rates and phase ratios to produce reproducible, low-polydispersity batches. She has also engineered lectin- and CPBA-functionalized LNPs that improved tumor targeting and reduced tumor volume in murine bladder cancer models. Her doctoral work at the University of Science and Technology of China centered on mesenchymal stem cell therapies for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, including ROS-responsive nanocarriers, co-delivery of small molecules and miRNA, and CT and bioluminescence imaging to track transplanted cells in vivo. Dr. Li has authored or coauthored 18 peer-reviewed publications in journals including ACS Nano, Biomaterials, Journal of Controlled Release, and Small, and holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Ocean University of China.
